Performer and choreographer Chaslen Allorhian Osler was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and began dancing at age 11. She graduated as a dance major from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2013, and recently graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in dance, where she was Vice President of Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society. Chaslen has trained and performed in many techniques, such as Hip-Hop, Ballet, Horton technique, Jazz, Contemporary, African, and more. Over the years, she trained with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and several Hip-Hop studios such as SoReal, Soundbox Studios, DFC Headquarters, and Millennium Dance Complex. Recently, she performed at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and Jacobs Pillow in Elijah Alhadji Gibson’s work “We Are Greenwood” with SHSU. Chaslen loves teaching all ages and many styles of dance, and is thrilled to return to Preston Center Dance .
