Beth Lipton may man the desk at Preston Center Dance, but she’s been dancing as a student and a professional performer for over twenty years. Originally from Highland Village, she grew up dancing at the Ballet Conservatory under the direction of Kelly Lannin and greatly benefitted from faculty including Janet Waters, Shanon Tate, Arlene Sugano, Allan Kinzie, Shawn Stevens, Rachael Poole Clark, Fabiana Fadlala, and the late Buster Cooper. She became active in local theatre at age 6 and spent high school summers attending theatre dance workshops out of Long Island and Santa Fe under faculty that included Broadway legends Patricia Birch and Ann Reinking.
Beth then attended Oklahoma City University for musical theatre, graduating summa cum laude in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music after studying in the studio of Brenda Holleman, as well as taking class at the Ann Lacy School of Dance at OCU with professors including Jo Rowan, Veronica Wilcox, Brian Marcum, Diana Brooks, and Patricia Oplotnik. Since returning to Dallas, she’s performed nearly non-stop for the last four years, earning credits as an actor, singer, dancer, and violinist at Dallas Theater Center, Theatre Three, Casa Manana, Pegasus Theatre, Uptown Players, and more. Beth is also a choreographer and costumer in the metroplex. She’s excited to be back at PCD for her second year!
