Sarah Bailey is a Dallas native and proud Preston Center Dance alum. Having trained at the studio for 15 years, some of her very first (and favorite!) memories include learning to love all things dance at the old studio on Sherry Lane. During her time at PCD, Sarah was a member of the Preparatory Company and trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Tap. Densil Adams, Janis Rosenthal, Brittany Tynan Sisk and Sarah Jo Fazio are still considered Sarah’s most influential teachers in dance and in life.
Sarah graduated from Highland Park High School and was a member of the Highland Belles Drill Team. Under the direction of Shannon Phillips, she performed for 3 years with the Belles and served as a Social Officer and Chaplain for the team.
Throughout college at Texas A&M, Sarah choreographed large-scale dance numbers for Chi Omega Songfest before becoming the overall chair for the event in 2016. Chi Omega Songfest is a two-day theatrical dance competition that benefits 28 philanthropies with the help of over 1,000 participants and 6,000 attendees.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Elementary Education from Texas A&M, Sarah taught in the classroom before deciding to combine her love of teaching and dance. Since then, Sarah has taught private Drill lessons at PCD and continued her dance education through adult classes at Contemporary Ballet Dallas. With her students, Sarah hopes to instill a passion for the lessons and joys dance can bring. She is so looking forward to working hard with this next generation of dancers!
