JTF/PCD Youth Choir
Megan Kelly Bates, Director
JTF (which stands for Junior Theatre Festival) is a company designed for the student that excels in musical theatre, voice, and dance performance. These students participate in many community events throughout the year as well as our spring recitals and Teamwork Concert. Students chosen for the company will travel to the Junior Theatre Festival:
JTF Oklahoma
JTF Atlanta
JTF Sacramento
Members of JTF are selected through an audition process. It is not required for students to currently be enrolled in classes at PCD to audition. If chosen for JTF, company members must enroll in their company class, as well as:
JTF Oklahoma - 1 Musical Theatre Production, 1 Jazz class
JTF Atlanta - 2 Dance Classes (1 Jazz, 1 of your choice)
JTF Sacramento - No additional requirements, but Jazz and Tap are recommended
2025-26 Performance Schedule
TEAMWORK Company Concert - Sunday, March 22nd, Moody Performance Hall
Please contact your director with any questions or concerns about extra rehearsal times or the above performance schedule.
JTF/Youth Choir Company Requirements
See above for class requirements per level. There are dedicated JTF jazz technique classes set aside for these groups. These classes will not do a recital number; it is just extra technique training.
You are encouraged to take as many other classes as you like to supplement your musical theatre training. We highly recommend tap if you are serious about pursuing theatre!
You must be available for all performances unless you have a school conflict or dance competition. All conflicts must be reported to the director of JTF as soon as possible.
Regular class attendance is mandatory and strictly enforced. Company members are allowed a total of three (3) unexcused absences per year. You will not be permitted to perform if you miss too many classes prior to an event.
Questions about tuition and fees may be directed to the PCD office.
