Michelle Fricker
Michelle Fricker is a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist originally from Phoenix, Arizona. Her early training began with Christina Hampton and her company, Arizona Youth Ballet. Michelle has also been to several summer/winter intensives including Ballet West, Ballet Arizona, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, BalletX, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet.
In 2024, she graduated from the University of Arizona with her BFA, Summa Cum Laude. During her time there, she distinguished herself both on stage and as a choreographer, performing works by George Balanchine, Thang Dao, and esteemed faculty including Sam Watson, Christopher Compton, and Lorin Mathis. Two of her original choreographic works received recognition, with restagings for prestigious School of Dance events. At one event her work was presented alongside renowned artists such as Misty Copeland, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ballet Tucson, and more.
This will be Michelle’s second season with Ballet North Texas. She is very grateful for the opportunities she has had with the company by performing leading roles in a wide-ranging repertoire, including Nicolina Lawson’s Don Quixote as the Queen of the Dryads and Kitri’s Friend and Penny Saunders’ Sur Le Fil.
Michelle maintains a dynamic freelance career, guesting in several different productions and special projects. She is also a passionate educator, with experience teaching across Arizona. She is currently on faculty at Contemporary Ballet Dallas and now recently added as faculty at Preston Center Dance, where she continues to inspire the next generation of dancers.
