Valentina (Valya) Shipsey

Valya Shipsey is a dance artist and instructor residing in Dallas, TX. She is a graduate of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, where she received her ballet training under Irina Ushakova and Miriam Gonzalez. During this time, she trained in several modern techniques including Graham, Horton, and Limon. Valya received additional training at the Bolshoi Ballet School and Martha Graham School Summer and Winter Intensives. 

After moving to Dallas in 2016 and receiving a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University, Valya began teaching both child and adult classes across DFW. She aims to provide quality instruction in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. She is excited to join the Preston Center Dance team!
